Alaisyah at 10

 Alaisyah was born at about the same time as the idea of Shadow Valley came into being.
Therefore, she's had lots of camp birthdays,
and this year she celebrated the big 1-0 just as camp began. 

Here she is going first in the food line on the day of her birthday.

Here she is carrying on the family tradition of reading.
It's one of her favorite activities.

 

And it's a good thing she likes it so much, 

because carrying thick books from here to there is hard work!

 But she doesn't read all the time. 

Sometimes she and her cousins cook up mud pies in the play area.

 And sometimes she works in the kitchen with Aunt Beth and others,
cooking up treats for supper.

Someday, once the camp cookbook becomes her favorite reading material,

she may become the head cook.

But not yet, and that's okay.

Because for now, we want to enjoy Alaisyah at ten.
